Back in 2015, I didn’t know furries were a thing in Korea. I looked through a Hanja dictionary and coined su-pi (수피, 獣被). I then learnt there already was a word for it called su-in (수인, 獣人) so I took in supi for myself and added -kkun (꾼) at the end which made it sound like a character. Supikkun became Supykun to fit in a number plate.

I used to work in fashion from 2017-2021. Fashion was cool, but I've been a lifelong cartoonist by heart. This difference of passion always had me looking for my own thing, and it finally happened after my manager told me I should throw myself out there during my 20's. I quit my job and flew to the Netherlands to start my next chapter. I was certain I wanted to start my own line of character brand but it wasn't easy to start a business there, so I returned to Texas. Supykun LLC kicked off on New Years of 2022.

I operate from two rooms and a small warehouse in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas! I make products like graphic tees, tote bags and stickers in-house there.
